Steven Beam: “The Sellers Went Cuckoo When They Saw the Pictures”

Here’s how Steven Beam, Realtor, CRS, RE/MAX Alliance in Parker, became a convert to HDR photography.

“I tell you, it was amazing,” he says. “The sellers went cuckoo when they saw the pictures. They couldn’t believe it.”

The situation was this: his sellers had had the property on the market with another agent but packed it in after 45 days and only a very few showings.

When they asked Beam to take over, he called in his go-to guy, Mediamax Senior Photographer Andy Gould.

Gould told Beam the place was a great candidate for HDRs. Want to give it a try? He even sweetened the deal, telling Beam he wouldn’t have to pay for them if he wasn’t pleased.

“Great, can’t lose there,” Beam remembers saying.

Before that, Beam considered HDR photos “pricey” but mainly what held him back was that he was happy with the standard photos he was getting.

“How much better can it really be?” he wondered.

He got his answer after posting the photos online. The sellers not only loved them but the buyers who saw them and came for a showing that first weekend all “commented on how fabulous the pictures were. It was amazing.”

Beam’s been in Colorado real estate for about 15 years now, specializing in Douglas and southern Arapahoe counties. He’s 100% sold on professional listing photography and now that includes HDRs.

“Let’s face it,” Beam says, “we go to the Internet for one thing – we go there for information and pictures are 90% of that information.”

When you want to please your sellers and make sure buyers call you for a showing because of the “fabulous” photos, go with Mediamax HDRs.
